DITT Hands over Desktop Computers & Books to Gyelposhing College

The Department of Information Technology and Telecom (DITT), Ministry of Information and Communications is mandated to drive innovation; development and adoption of ICT across the RGOB and promote ICT Industry development.

To drive innovation in the colleges, Department have visited CST, Gyelposhing and Sherubtse colleges under the Royal University of Bhutan to encourage IT students to develop innovative application to gain experience by working on real world projects which will help smoothen the transition from college to the workplace. During the visit, Colleges have requested DITT to support in the area of setting up a computer lab and training to the lecturers.

Today, MoIC/DITT has handed over 15 number of Dell i5 computer sets to Gyelposhing IT college. The computer sets were received by vice chancellor of Royal University of Bhutan on behalf of the college at MoIC conference hall from the Hon’ble MoIC minister DN Dhungyel. By setting up a computer lab in Gyelposhing IT Colleges, students can learn and work additional hours from their normal computer lab classes.

MoIC/DITT have also trained college lecturers on mobile application development, so that they are able to guide students with their projects and innovative solutions.
