Submitted by super-admin on Fri, 11/15/2019 - 16:35In keeping with His Majesty’s vision of promoting interest in space, science and astronomy, Bhutan is participating in the NameExoWorlds Project being carried out by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) in celebration of 100 years of IAU. This global project offers an opportunity for each country, including Bhutan, to name an exoplanet and its host star. An exoplanet is a planet outside the solar system. Thousands of exoplanets have been discovered orbiting other stars over the past three decades.
Hackathon 2019
Hackathon 2019 is an event organized by Department of IT and Telecom to promote innovation and creativity among ICT officials in the government. With the event, the department envisions to develop a culture of problem-solving within a limited time period. It directly links with the nature of work carried out by the ICT officials.
