Department of Information Technology is launching Dzongkha Linux on 2nd June 2006.
Dzongkha Linux created with the sole aim of providing complete Dzongkha computing capability in Linux operating system will be made available free of cost.
The launch will be held at Banquet Hall and will be presided by our Prime Minister.The keynote speaker is Mr. Christian Perrier (Debian Linux Localization Coordinator).
Dzongkha Linux will facilitate people to work in Dzongkha computing environment. That is all the menus in Desktop, office applications. browers etc. will be in Dzongkha. The people can now chat in Dzongkha, send email in Dzongkha, browse Dzongkha websites, compute spread sheets in Dzongkha etc..
